Player 1219, 2018

This alphabet was designed for a virtual exhibition. For this exhibition we were allowed to chose our own 25 items for the exhibitions, as a gamer I chose my favorite 25 games.

Games mean a lot more than just an entertainment for me. Games could be different magical journeys to numerous wonderlands or parallel universes which decorated with imaginations and fascinations. By taking the concept of parallel universes into consideration, I designed a set of 2.5D alphabet which had two different surfaces.

Games could be composed of basic elements like columns, however these columns could still create distinctive visual effect, so is this alphabet. I was deeply touched by the movie READY PLAYER ONE and I decided to pay tribute to that excellent movie by naming my project ‘Player 1219‘, as 19th December was my birthday.
